CORVID 3
ALL-TERRAIN WS BASE

  • New Refined Profile & Planform
  • New Leading Edge Design
  • Improved Monochamber Flow
  • Even easier starts & lower stall speed
  • Most comfortable "big suit" in WS BASE
  • Simple riser access

The CORVID series has set a new standard for easy starts and has opened some of the most technical exits in the world. The CORVID 3 is a more efficient and higher performing suit with all of the comfort and ease-of-use that the series is known for.

Profile refinements to the arm and leg wing, a new leading edge design, a slight increase to arm wing surface area, and improved MonoChamber flow all combine to deliver higher efficiency and start performance. Due to the slightly lower stall speed and improved flow between chambers, short starts are even easier. The arm wing surface area increase has slightly improved best glide as well.

The CORVID series is for experienced WS BASE jumpers looking for short start performance, good glide, and comfort in steep technical lines. It's an all-terrain suit with a long history of reliable performance.

FEATURES
defaultImage

NEW REFINED PROFILE & PLANFORM

The already clean top surface has been improved further, and the arm wing surface area has been marginally increased. The net effect is improved efficiency and lower stall speed. This translates to shorter starts, improved flare, and a glide performance increase.

defaultImage

MONOCHAMBER DESIGN

Smooth starts, fast inflation: All of the wings are fed by all of the inlets. The Corvid 3 benefits from improved flow between the chambers thanks to a reshaping of the tunnel.

defaultImage

NEW LEADING EDGE DESIGN

The Seamless LE of the CORVID 3 is improved with a smoother and less wrinkle-prone material as well as a new wrist section. Overall it provides reduced drag at the most critical area of the wing and reduced deformation during pilot input.

defaultImage

CUSTOM INTERNAL PRESSURE

Airtight zippers allow you to choose the amount of internal pressure in the arm wings. We recommend flying the suit with zippers fully closed for all normal modes of flight.

defaultImage

AIRFOIL CROSS SECTION

The removable airfoil cross section adds glide and speed performance and increases agility and range in any suit that it is added to. More information on leading edge foam

MORE POCKETS

In addition to the massive leg wing pocket, our nutsack, and the chest pocket, every Squirrel wingsuit gets an inside-arm pocket for GPS / sunglasses / your stash. If you need mega-storage for alpine missions, choose that option on the order page.

defaultImage

EVOLV TRAX RUBBER BASE SOLE

Our custom molded TRAX Super Sticky BASE Sole was developed in cooperation with Evolv climbing shoes. The tread pattern is designed for exit force traction, and the rubber is sticky in all conditions: wet, dry, warm, and cold.

MASSIVE LEG WING POCKET

The new leg wing pocket is the full width of the end cell, has zip closure, and is ideal for the stowage of hiking poles, lightweight rope, and other equipment.

REVIEWS

"I love it! The Corvid 3 has once again set a new benchmark, delivering a surprising and impressive range of performance. While the Corvid series has always been renowned for its exceptional short start characteristics, this new generation introduces an unprecedented level of agility for a suit in this category. Yes, the Corvid 3 still upholds the best starts in the Squirrel quiver. And in flight, the suit performs exceptionally well in steep dives, flare-ups, barrels, and maintains excellent pressurization during back-flying maneuvers! This consistent pressurization translates to a higher speed for a given glide ratio, a key enhancement that directly improves safety in the BASE environment without complicating the deployment sequence. On a recent BASE jump, I found myself confidently executing safe and dynamic acro maneuvers while cruising with a friend. The suit remains incredibly stable and intuitive, perfectly adhering to the design specifications I wish for a versatile performance wingsuit. I must confess that since the release of the latest Aura models, I had primarily switched to those gliding rockets for most of my BASE jumps, reserving my older Corvid for very short starts and conservative cruising. The Corvid 3, however, has changed my approach. It successfully widens the flight envelope of the entire series, offering a blend of agility, safety, and performance that delivers immense pilot pleasure. Thanks Squirrel for sticking a big smile on my face during every jump !"

"Cheers boys! Crushed it. The Corvid 2 has a noticeable increase in speed and efficiency from my OG Corvid, which translates into more flare power and terrain separation at deployment. The mono chamber appears to initiate the tail inflation earlier in the start and the suit feels more rigid in flight. The leading edge changes still allow for easy toggle access while fully zipped up with freestyle foam! Super stoked to be able to fly with more speed in the line while retaining the necessary quick start, high glide and easy toggle access of the American BASE suit."

"The Corvid 2 is nice, It feels similar to the original Corvid but with a little bit more volume. The inflation seems faster and more solid, and it feels cleaner when diving. Starts are looking good, feels more capable in the start than the original. I still need more jumps to really see what is going on with the data, but it’s looking really good so far!. The flare is also very similar to the original, the longer flares work well."

"My first impressions, which are all very positive: As I had hoped, the monochamber seems to work in the start to inflate the leg wing much faster! The suit feels like it starts flying earlier, although I want to do more flysight data to see how much earlier. Handling is very much like the OG Corvid, although I haven't pushed it too much on steeper/dynamic lines so will check back in on that. General feel of the suit in flight is very much like Corvid 1, except slightly higher pressurization. I like the new leading edge, it seems like the extended glideskin on the top of the wing is even thicker than before. Feels and looks super clean / efficient. Basically, it should be easy for anyone who is dialed on the original to step into the Corvid 2 and start flying straight away. Seems to have all the things I would want from the new Corvid, no downsides and slight improvements all around. "

"I recently did my first jumps on the Corvid 2 and I am extremely impressed. The start was absolutely amazing. Immediately on exit I could feel how much more comfortable and relaxing it felt. I could feel how the suit wants to put you in flight right away. The entire flight I felt like I was on a magic carpet and as I did more jumps it made me think as if I am in the palms of the gods; hand serving me to the sky. By far this is the most comfortable and most stable suit I have ever flown. It was stable and super fun at any angle I flew, even as I pushed on her for more speed or tipped it over it, still 100% stable and comfortable. The flare was super powerful and smooth and upon deployment time, I had the easiest PC access to my pilot chute I've ever felt. Thank you very much for, once again, amazing me and making quality safe gear that continues to crush."

"Well, I did 3 jumps today and the differences between the Corvid OG and Corvid 2 were instantly apparent. It's faster, less strenuous on the arms, carries speed and flares for days with minimal effort. Feels less like an air mattress and more like an airfoil. The trim speed and power feels similar to my C4. I played with barrel rolls, steep and flat 270's, and making abrupt turns at moderate to high speeds and never felt like I was going to wash out or lose control. I would say it’s as intuitive as my Freak 4. Three more weeks of training every day then I'm off to the valley. Looking forward to seeing how she plays in the mountains."

"What to say! Enourmous la Corvid 2!! I was not expecting so much evolution at all. I just wanted to have a good wingsuit to carry me down from big mountains. A wingsuit I trust, exactly like the original Corvid. The Corvid 2 is sooo much better! Powerful, safer, I can’t describe. C est de la balle!!!

There is really much more performance, glide, flare…..everything. I am really impressed. For getting old guys like me down, into, up to, wherever I want, it is what exactly I am searching for. Big, big up guys!! Thank you and keep flying forever! Kisses from Valais!"

"After a few flights (sky and base) I can say that the Corvid 2 is exactly what I was looking for. Huge amounts of range. Easy starts, easy flying at any speeds. I deployed always way higher than with my Creature at my local base training spot on the usual line. My starts have all been better than 250m, even with 0 thermals and some back wind, which seems quite decent for me. Even if I love flying My creature in the mountains, the Corvid 2 feels like it brings extra safety and that's exactly what I wanted. I'll probably be using this one for quite a few seasons."

"I recently spent a week flying my Corvid 2 at the Loen Skylift and really loved its fast starts and ability to quickly get over 100mph horizontally and easily stay there. This was critical to be able to fly the lines that were required. Slowing it down with a big flare was just as easy and pulls were very comfortable - even when flying with freestyle arm foam. The Corvid 2 is for sure my go-to for wingsuit BASE.”
