Alexey Galda reports.

“It was an unusual Nationals event this year. We flew most of the competition into a strong cross/head wind rather than the usual downwind direction. The headwind eased as the meet went on, so scores climbed round by round and by the last round the whole field was flying noticeably further than on day one. It was great to see such a wide range of skill levels on the same field: 13 competitors in Open, six of them women, with Amelia Dunaway taking bronze in the overall.”

All pilots flew the CR+
1. Alexey Galda
2. Iurii Cartev
3. Amelia Dunaway

In the Acro competition, team TurkeyLabs took gold, setting a new National Record for the longest acro sequence at 49 docks. Compared to last year, TurkeyLabs averaged 50% more docks per round, nearing 120 seconds of working time per round. They were followed closely by Those Damn Immigrants in second and Noooo Touchy rounding out the top three.

Congratulations to all five teams for giving it their all.
